North Ryde RSL Pipe Band was previously known as Castle Hill RSL Pipe Band until JAN 2024
New drummers and pipers, learner or experienced, are always welcome !
Practice 2nd,3rd,4th Thursday of the Month at Epping Creative Centre 7:30pm.
Practise 1st Thursday of each month at North Ryde RSL Club Youth Centre Hall 7:30pm.
We provide tuition on both pipes and drums.
North Ryde RSL Pipe Band is the Pipe Band of the North Ryde RSL Club and operates out of Epping (Sydney) NSW Australia.

The band is one of the only bands in NSW that teach, compete and perform for the public
All members of the Band enjoy playing their instruments and entertaining the public. There is a mix of those who love competition and others who play socially. Either way, members of the band are brought together from a love and passion for music. There are opportunities for everyone to excel in the piping and drumming community through performances and competitions.
The Band has a good number of pipers and drummers, but we are always on the lookout for new members. If you are interested in learning bagpipes or drums, then here is your chance to join the Band and learn in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. No experience is needed as learners can start from scratch and learn at minimal cost.
Announcements
The band does a lot of work to prepare for performances and competition. Several tutors have been brought in to help progress the efforts.
We would like to enter most competitions but sometimes have one piper or drummer less than is required to field a team. If you are interested in playing competitively, we would love to have you come along.

1st Place – JULY 2022 – Epping Mini Bands (Epping) (Three bands entered but thanks to COVID we were only able to compete with one.)

3rd Place – NOV 2021- NSW State Championships (Epping)
A number of competitions were cancelled due to COVID restrictions in mid 2021)
2nd and 3rd Place - JUNE 2021 – Sydney Mini Bands (Knox) (3 teams entered sadly our #1 team was not competitive)
